Ford has appointed Goldman Sachs, Morgan Stanley and HSBC to investigate selling its British premium brands Jaguar and Land Rover. The move effectively signals the end of the Blue Oval's PAG division. Officials have refused to confirm or deny the sale, but have outlined to MPs the deal which will spin off Jaguar and Land Rover, but retain Volvo in the Ford family.
The launch Edition of the Alfa Romeo 4C (pictured) will be in action at the 2013 Goodwood Festival of Speed. We had the launch – finally – of the production version of the Alfa Romeo 4C at the Geneva Motor Show in March, and now visitors to the Goodwood Festival of Speed in July will get the chance to see the 4C in action as it makes its UK ‘Dynamic’ debut. Weighing in at under 1000kg, the 4C is a hugely promising sports car from Alfa, which seems to offer all you want from an Alfa including decent performance from the 1750cc four cylinder turbo from the Giulietta Quadrifoglio Verde, which promises 0-62mph in around 4.5 seconds
Alfa are actually bringing the Launch Edition of the 4C to Goodwood for visitors to lust over, which gets extra tweaks including a carbon fibre body kit.

These are the first official pictures of the BMW X6, one of 2008’s most intriguing cars. It’s a 4x4 with a coupé body, seriously high performance engines including a 407bhp twin-tubocharged V8 and a trick diff to give it a flavour of the M division’s finest. The X6 is based on the X5's chassis and shares its wheelbase, but its around 20mm lower and has a wider track, to enhance its dynamic ability.
It’s certainly the sportiest SUV so far.
